Change In Character On The Dollar...Dollar Pushes Higher On Big Volume...

Change In Character On The Dollar...Dollar Pushes Higher On Big Volume...The dollar soared out of the gate today.  As the dollar moved higher, the markets which had gapped up, started to drop back down towards the flat line.  The DOW still trades on the positive side of things but off their highs.  If the dollar starts to pull back, you will see this market move higher again.  This market continues to be a perfect inverse to the dollar. Oil and gold have inched lower on the strong greenback.

Market Trades Off Lows As Dollar Trades Off Highs. Watch The Levels/Patterns Below

Market Trades Off Lows As Dollar Trades Off Highs. Watch The Levels/Patterns BelowThe market is whipping in the opposite direction as the dollar. A triangle of sorts has formed with the low from yestserday and today being the bottom of it.  Conecting the highs from yesterday gives us the top as it slopes down.  The near term pattern on the SPY chart below is also slightly bullish while the bigger pattern may be slightly bearish.  Today is options expiration and this market started out with great volume but has stalled as options expiration Friday is known for having great starting volume, but then small volume the rest of the day.  Asia did sell off last night but overall it is not having much of an impact on the US markets.  DOW remains up about 35 points on the day.

WMT is weak today so far relative to the market. Watch the 49.88- 49.85 level for support and a scalp bounce higher.
